Yay family & friends Khyle came home last night! It was a difficult ordeal but we pray it is all behind us. We are so happy to be home, Khyle slept so well last night. We will continue to smother him with love & affection. Maya sooo wanted to hold him last night but he was a little out of sorts so maybe today.
Please continue to pray for his recovery. We are over the moon to have our warrior back home where he belongs.

Our dear sweet boy Khyle, aka 'Khyle the Warrior' was born with Apert Syndrome and is fighting a great fight to live and thrive and grow. We are sharing his journey because we want our family & friends to pray with us and know how we are progressing. Perhaps along the way we will also educate and encourage. Definitely we hope to celebrate this amazing, special boy.

Meet Khyle
Khyle was born June 18, 2007 in Nassau, Bahamas at Princess Margaret Hospital. He was whisked off to the NICU immediately and was diagnosed the following day with a rare genetic craniofacial condition called APERT Syndrome. After much breathing trouble at 9 weeks he came home and seemed quite the normal little boy except for the fused fingers & toes. However due to severe illness Khyle suffered traumatic brain injury in May 2008. In addition to Apert, his diagnosis includes--
-Cerebral atrophy
-Developmental delay
-Mobility issues
-Tracheostomy tube for airway
-Oxygen for breathing
-Vision impaired
-Hearing impaired
-Fed via G-tube, nothing orally
My diagnosis is that he his altogether lovely! He is a bright beautiful boy who loves Mommy, Daddy & big sis Maya and who needs & deserves love. He has the most beautiful brown eyes and gorgeous curly head of locks. He loves music and he will talk your ear off with his little dolphin squeak sounds he makes out of his trach.
He has fought back from death literally and he gives the good fight everyday--Therefore He Shall Be Called---
